School records fall as Vikings sweep
Junior Aidell Cadet, senior Thomas Morgan power Siuslaw charge to state
The Siuslaw Vikings are locked and loaded for the 2026 OSAA 3A track and field championships next week at Hayward Field in Eugene.
Siuslaw junior Aidell Cadet and senior Thomas Morgan set all-time Vikings records Friday as both the boys and girls won team titles at the OSAA 3A Special District 1 Championships at Sutherlin High School.
The Vikings boys had 178 points for first place, with Elmira second with 79 and host Sutherlin third with 78.
The Lady Vikings had 128 points, followed by Glide with 112 and Sisters with 93.
Cadet qualified for state in four events, winning two and placing second twice, while setting a school record of 15.49a in the 100-meter hurdles.
